The acquisition of Courir has advanced to the next stage, with JD Sports Fashion signing an agreement to make the purchase for €520 million, as CMDsport reports. The sum is to comprise €325 million in cash and €195 million in redemptions. The deal remains subject to regulatory approval but is planned to occur before JD announces its results for FY 2024. The acquisition was proposed in May, as we then reported, and Courir’s management has since been consulting with employee representatives.

The French sneaker chain operates 313 stores in six countries, with an additional 36 operating as franchises in northwest Africa, the Middle East and France’s overseas territories and two operating under the Naked banner in Denmark.
