JD Sports is launching a 24-hour music and entertainment platform, called JD-X. The platform, which is being developed in partnership with Immedia, will be offered in-store and in JD's mobile app as a way to blend retail with entertainment. The platform is currently being rolled out to all JD stores across the U.K., with plans to expand availability to other European countries such as Ireland, Belgium, France, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Germany, Netherlands, Denmark, Sweden and Finland. The JD-X platform provides users with a main Live channel - with DJs, guest artists and other contents - as well as 20 customized streams with playlists. Alongside music and videos, contents can range from gaming to relaxation, TV and sports.
