Jeff Bezos, founder and chief executive of Amazon, has overtaken Bill Gates as the wealthiest individual in the world, according to Forbes, with a personal net worth of $127 billion. He is also the first one to have reached a personal wealth of more than $100 billion. Bezos, 54, owns 16 percent of the shares in the company, whose stock market capitalization jumped by 52 percent in 2017. He is followed in Forbes' latest rankings by Gates, Warren Buffett and Bernard Arnault. With a personal fortune estimated at $72.2 billion, Arnault, founder and CEO of LVMH, has overtaken Mark Zuckerberg, founder and CEO of Facebook.
