Jet Set, the ski and sports apparel brand based in Switzerland, has assigned Michael Michalsky, a well-known German fashion designer, to the position of creative director. Michalsky previously worked as a designer at Levi's and was until 2006 the creative director of Adidas. He has cooperated with several brands, among them Pony and Adidas, where he developed a collection with Stella McCartney. At Jet Ski, Michalsky will be responsible for relaunching the brand and developing its new autumn/winter 2019/20 collection, which will debut in Paris. Michalski will be reinventing the brand's product design and image to reposition it as a performance-inspired sportswear label for men and women of all ages. The brand's product portfolio includes ski fashion as well as sportswear and sporting equipment. The first collection designed by Michalsky will go on sale in Europe in 2019, with later introductions in the U.S. and then Asia. Jet Ski has also launched a new logo. In the ‘70s and ‘80s, the brand was popular among stars and starlets like Grace Kelly and Gunter Sachs. In 2010, the Swiss Gaydoul group acquired Jet Ski. The brand is currently represented in 120 stores in 20 countries, such as Germany, Austria, Italy, the U.S. and Switzerland. In Germany, Breuninger and Oberpollinger sell the brand.
