Johnson Health Tech, which makes fitness equipment under brands such as Matrix Fitness, Vision Fitness, Horizon Fitness and Livestrong, had a 32 percent jump in sales in the first quarter, reporting increases across all channels in the sporting goods and mass markets, and in the specialty and commercial divisions. Sales in North America rose by 28 percent, thanks mainly to a new treadmill. Sales in the commercial channel grew by 36 percent after an investment in new console technologies and a growing portfolio of Matrix products. Sales elsewhere saw good increases in retail and commercial segments.
