Nike’s Jordan Brand has announced that Tonia Jones, a 33-year Nike veteran, will take over as head of its women’s division, effective immediately. Jones began her career at Nike in 1989 as an account executive and then moved into sales, first for Nike Skateboarding in 2013 and then for Jordan in 2014, serving as Jordan Brand GM for Asia Pacific and Latin America until 2019. In 2020, she returned to Nike to lead SNKRS and NBHD marketplace. Speaking to Footwear News, Jordan Brand president Craig Williams said, “This is an awesome responsibility for Tonia to continue leading our women’s business. This role is such a critical piece of achieving balanced growth across the brand. It requires someone who has a strong respect for our legacy and passion to create our future. We’re excited about Tonia returning to the Jordan team.” Andrea Perez, formerly global VP and GM of Jordan Women’s, has joined Sony as SVP global marketing, product, brand and services with a focus on its Playstation brand.
