While continuing to get them made in the U.S., Karakoram, the American supplier of splitboard bindings founded by Bryce and Tyler Kloster in 2008, will move into a new factory in North Bend, Washington state, close to the mountain region around Snoqualmie Pass. The company has just come out with its first regular snowboard binding. The founding brothers have reportedly told Boardsport Source that they have suffered less than some competitors from the current supply chain constraints because of Karakoram’s relations with suppliers involved in the strong neighboring aerospace industry.
