Kastner & Öhler is planning to add a couple of Gigasport stores in Austria to its present network of 15 sports stores in the country. It closed one in the past summer. After pulling out of the Czech Republic and Slovakia in 2012, Gigasport also closed its three stores in Slovenia last summer. The Austrian retail group, which also manages 14 fashion stores, has reported a 4.5 percent drop in its sales to €213.5 million for the financial year ended in February 2014, but its pre-tax loss fell slightly to €8.4 million.
