KDM International, an organizer of international fairs based in Bologna, is proposing the launch of two new consumer-oriented fairs for cycling and other sports in Kiev, the capital of Ukraine. Called Activesport and BikeExpo, they will be held next Apr. 26-29, coinciding with the existing Motobike Expo (sic) show. Last year KDM sold a package of fairs related to plumbing and heating and held mainly in Eastern European countries, and bought the motorbike show in Kiev, which has been held for seven years. After the KISS sports fair, which had its last session in February 2007, there have been only a couple of very small sports exhibitions in Kiev, each measuring about 500 square meters and called Go Sport and Winter Extreme Sports.
