Keola, the Dutch manufacturer of e-bikes, has inaugurated a new 5,500-square-meter production facility in Roosendaal, in the southern part of the Netherlands, as well as a new sales office and warehouse in Denmark. The new factory in Roosendaal will allow Keola to increase its production tenfold compared with the current capacity, to reach around 60,000 units per year. It will cut delivery times from four months now to three weeks, depending on the model. The factory features large spaces for testing the e-bikes, including a climbing, an acceleration and a distress test. Besides the new factory in Roosendaal, Keola operates an assembly and R&D center in Nantong, China for electronic components, as well as a design center in Amersfoort, the Netherlands. Meanwhile, Keola has announced the opening of a sales office, showroom and warehouse in Denmark, which will help the company target the Scandinavian market. Peter Broløs, the former chief information officer of Baltik Vairas and country manager of Bike&Co, has been appointed to lead Keola's Nordic market and to develop a dealer network for VanDijck and Keola branded e-bikes.
