Kipsta, Décathlon's private label brand for team sports products, opened its own head office in the north of France earlier this month. Kipstadium, as the complex is called, is built on a plot of land that straddles the municipalities of Roubaix, Tourcoing and Wattrelos. Kipsta has reportedly invested about €12 million in the project, which was delayed due to environmental clean-up work. Kipstadium comprises offices for 84 people, a store of 880 square meters, a smaller outlet for clubs and plenty of team sports fields. The company boasts about 45,000 square meters of sports facilities, equivalent to about 20 fields for football, rugby, basketball, volleyball, field hockey, cricket, baseball or even American football. The French retailer has already opened independent offices for six other private labels. Most of them are situated around Décathlon's head office in the north of France, while Quechua is in the Alps and Tribord on the Atlantic coast. Managed by Franck Démaret, Kipsta enjoyed a sales increase of 13.5 percent in 2014.
