Kjus has announced the addition of Elias Ambuehl to its athlete team. The 25-year-old Swiss is considered one of the best freestyle skiers in the world. At the age of 18, he won his first medal on the occasion of the Winter X Games, the annual event for extreme sports which is held annually in Aspen, Colorado. In February 2017 in Arosa, Switzerland, he broke the world record in switch (backward) skiing with a speed of 131.23 kph, beating the record set by Anders Backe in 2013. Kjus will exclusively outfit Ambuehl for the next three years, starting immediately. The brand's roster of athletes also includes Didier Cuche, Stefan Häusl and Lucas Swieykowski, as well as Lasse Kjus, the brand's co-founder and one of the greatest downhill skiers in the history of the sport.
