La Sportiva is taking the place of another Italian company, Montura, as the technical sponsor of the French mountain skiing federation (FFME) for the next three years, starting with the 2018/19 season. It will also give it financial support for its operations. While it specializes in climbing, La Sportiva has been investing in mountain skiing since 2008, developing a special boot and working with top athletes like William Bon Mardion from France.
