EuroSIMA, the European surf industry association, has agreed on a new partnership with the Médoc Atlantique Agglomeration Community to create an economic activity zone dedicated to boardsports in the municipality of Lacanau, in France’s southwest, Sport-Guide reported. The announcement was made by Jean-Louis Rodrigues, the president of EuroSIMA, at the organization’s general assembly in Anglet on May 20. The partnership agreement will be signed on June 26, Rodrigues said. The region of New Aquitaine already hosts three activity zones dedicated to boardsports start-ups in Anglet, Saint-Jean-de-Luz and Soorts-Hossegor.
