Assosport, the Italian sporting goods industry association, has launched the Sport Market Observatory, a project to collect data, by product category and geographical area, on the sell-in Italian market. The project is a collaboration with the owners and managers of companies in the winter sports sector, including Atomic-Salomon, Head, Rossignol-Lange, Dal Bello-Marker-Voelkl and Nordica-Tecnica-Blizzard.
In its initial phase, the project will cover the sports of alpine skiing, nordic skiing and backcountry touring and such product categories as skis, boots, bindings, helmets, masks and protections. Trail running will follow in a second phase, said Assosport.
The Sport Market Observatory will be presented during two online events on July 27 at 11:00 a.m. and on July 28 at 2:00 p.m. Italian time. The events are open to companies involved with the above disciplines and product categories. They can register online via the Assosport website.
