Inderjit Sangu was sentenced to four years imprisonment by the Birmingham Crown Court on Aug. 23 after pleading guilty for manufacturing and selling fake designer clothes. The 67-year-old businessman ran an “industrial scale” operation in Hockley, a central inner-city district in the city of Birmingham, England, which supplied market stall and online sellers across the U.K. with counterfeit items. The fake designer labels seized by Trading Standards included Nike, The North Face, Moncler, Lacoste, Canada Goose, Polo Ralph Lauren, Hugo Boss, Versace, Givenchy, Stone Island, Super Dry, and Prada.
