The Welsh government has announced that golf courses and outdoor sports facilities are allowed to reopen from March 13 following the latest easing of lockdown measures in Wales. Outdoor sports facilities – including outdoor gyms, tennis courts and basketball courts – will be allowed to welcome visitors back as of this weekend, provided that they are used locally by no more than four people from two households. The idea is to shift from “stay at home” to “stay local.” Meanwhile, golf courses in England will be allowed to re-open on March 29. In Scotland, where golf courses have remained open, four-ball competitions (between two teams, each with two people) have returned with no restrictions as from March 12 for members who live within a club’s local authority area.
