Fratelli d’Italia (Brothers of Italy), the party that won the latest parliamentary elections in Italy on Sept. 25, has declared that the new government will most likely include a Ministry of Sports in its own right, Gazzetta dello Sport has reported based on a radio interview. Outgoing Lazio regional councilor Chiara Colosimo, a new member of Italy’s Chamber of Deputies following the elections, is reportedly in pole position to head that ministry. Giorgia Meloni, the leader of Fratelli d’Italia, is expected to be named prime minister and form a government by the end of this month.
