​Nike is suing John Geiger over his GF-01 sneaker

Nike has filed a lawsuit against John Geiger’s John Geiger Co and La La Land Production and Design Inc. for allegedly infringing on Nike’s classic Air Force 1 silhouette. Nike claims that Geiger’s “GF-01” sneaker looks too much like Nike’s Air Force 1 and can generate confusion. In response, Geiger has stated in an Instagram post that he has “been very clear through two years of manufacturing and selling the GF-01 that it was inspired by Nike.” In the same post, the designer has stated that he is “preparing to fight this battle for all creators and underdogs fighting the same uphill battle.”
