The pickleball bodies of 25 countries have come together to found the European Pickleball Federation (EPF), a non-profit organization with headquarters in Luxembourg (application pending for listing on the commercial register) and an open invitation to join for other national pickleball bodies.
The EPF will promote the sport and organize events on the continent, seeking to improve the infrastructure, set the rules, standardize the equipment and control the rankings. An online platform for tournament promotion is already online and available free of charge.
The chairman, Frank Arico (U.K.), hopes at some point to see pickleball in the Olympic Games. The remaining six members of the EPF board are Giulia Soresina (vice chairman, Italy), Marc Declercq (Spain), Fatih Dervent (Turkey), Patrick Fiore (Ireland), Lenka Misickova (Czech Republic) and Pierre Obozinski (France).
