According to a filing in New York federal court on 29 April, Nike has settled all trademark infringement claims against the Japanese streetwear brand Bape and requested that the case be dropped. The parties will bear their own costs and legal fees. In the lawsuit originally filed in January 2023, Nike alleged that Bape’s Bape STA mimics the Air Force 1, the SK8 STA copies the Dunk and the Court STA is a replica of the Air Jordan 1. According to Reuters, citing a statement from Nike, Bape agreed to discontinue some of its shoes and redesign others as part of the settlement.
