Leki is continuing to celebrate its 75th anniversary with an online flipbook 75 Years of Leki: A look back on the company history, the Lenhart family legacy, and 75 years of innovation and growth. A collection of 75 Years of Historical Photos has also been released to mark the occasion.
Key moments in Leki’s history are covered, including Reinhold Messner’s 1978 ascent of Everest, without supplemental oxygen but with Leki poles.
Also included are modern developments. As reported earlier this year, Leki unveiled the Hemp One Vario, winning an ISPO Award for the first ever trekking pole made of sustainable hemp as a replacement for aluminum and carbon.
Leki is still family-owned. Now in its third generation, Friederike and Markus Lenhart are the sole owners.
