Like Speedo, TYR of the U.S. has also launched a high-performance swimsuit that complies with Fina's new norms. Its new Alchemy Project 2012 range features advanced hydrodynamic technology. It uses a “turbo compression fabric” made of lightweight, hydrophobic microfilament yarn, with enhanced stretch and memory retention. The seams are bonded on the inside and four-way locked on the outside. TYR says the new anatomically engineered construction reduces water drag and stimulates blood flow. The new line became available for pre-orders on Dec. 6 for widespread deliveries from January 2012.
