Lotto and João Sousa, the best ever ATP-ranked Portuguese tennis player, have signed a two-year technical sponsorship agreement for the supply of footwear, clothing and accessories for competitions and leisure time. João Sousa is the first ever Portuguese tennis player to enter the ATP Top 50, getting to the 47th spot on Oct. 2013. He was also the first Portuguese to win an ATP World Tour tournament, the Malaysian Open, in Oct. 2013. He adds to Lotto's large portfolio of top tennis players which includes David Ferrer, Nicolas Almagro, Kevin Anderson, and Lukas Rosol, among others. João Sousa will be wearing the Raptor Ultra IV shoe model, equipped with the exclusive ReactiveArch technology, a concave dynamic sole that flexes according to the natural movement of the foot. Also in Portugal, Lotto has recently renewed its partnership with Fuerza Deportiva, a business partner since 2010, which will continue to be the official distributor for all Lotto branded footwear and apparel collections, both for performance and lifestyle products, until 2016. Besides developing partnerships in various sport categories, Fuerza Deportiva has been providing all the equipment for the Estoril Open, the biggest tennis event in Portugal.
