Lululemon and the United Nations Foundation have announced a new partnership on a program addressing the mental and physical health of United Nations (U.N.) development and humanitarian workers who serve on the front lines globally. Lululemon will commit $1 million over the next three years to Peace on Purpose, a program that has been developed to address issues such as burnout, compassion fatigue and other stress-related physical and mental effects reported by U.N. staff members who serve in the field. With Lululemon's help, the Peace on Purpose program aims to help more than 3,000 aid workers and reach 30,000 U.N. staff over the next three years by providing training and equipment to enhance self-care and mindfulness. The U.N. Foundation, founded by Ted Turner in 1998, works with philanthropic, corporate, governmental and individual partners.
