Lululemon is cramming its early moves in Spain into a short span of time, according to Diffusion Sport. The Canadian brand switched on its Spanish e-commerce site at the end of August, and followed that up in early September with the opening of its first own-store in Spain, on Paseo de Gracia in the Catalonian capital of Barcelona. And now, before September is out, it is opening a second store, of 285 square meters, this time on Calle Serrano in Madrid.
Moreover, the brand has signed a deal with the Spanish retailer El Corte Inglés, which on Sept. 23 will begin selling its items both online and through “corners” at its stores in the Castellana quarter of Madrid and on Portal de l’Àngel in Barcelona.
There’s more. Lululemon has signed a deal with Club Pilates to set up sales spaces in the company’s three franchise gyms in Spain.
Lululemon is working through a five-year plan, called “Power of Three ×2,” one of whose objectives is to quadruple its international revenues of 2021 by 2026.
