Macron is the new official technical sponsor of AZ Alkmaar, the Dutch football club. The four-year deal starts with the 2011-12 season and includes official replica jerseys and other official merchandise. This is Macron's first foray into the Dutch football market. The team had some input into its new outfits, with shirts that have mesh inserts on the shoulders and lateral flanks to improve breathability. The new shirts are designed for superior resistance, comfort and elasticity.
