Macron replaces Canterbury as sponsor of World Rugby

Macron has announced a new technical partnership with World Rugby, taking over a contract that had been signed by the global governing body with Canterbury in 2018. The Italian teamwear company, which already sponsors many of the 128 national federations that belong to World Rugby, will provide the technical apparel for the referees and other staff for all the international competitions including the 2023 edition of Rugby World Cup in Paris. It will start with the HSBC World Rugby Sevens Series due to start in Malaga, Spain on Jan. 21.
