Macron has announced new technical sponsorship agreements with the Qatar Sports Club (SC) and Southend United F.C., two professional football clubs based in Doha, Qatar and Southend-on-Sea, England, respectively. The Italian sportswear company will be the official technical sponsor of Qatar SC, previously with Puma, during the 2021/22 season. Qatar SC has won eight Qatar Stars League and three Crown Prince Cups, among its various titles. Macron will also kit out Southend United, an English football club with 115 years of history that competes today in the National League, England’s fifth tier. Under the terms of the new multi-year agreement, which replaces the club’s previous deal with Hummel, Macron will manufacture home and away shirts and training wear for “The Shrimpers,” as the Southend players are known, starting from the 2021/22 season.
