Chinese e-commerce giant Alibaba Group has announced the appointment of Eddie Yongming Wu as Group CEO and Chairman of Taobao and Tmall Group with immediate effect. He will also serve as CEO of the two subsidiaries. He replaces Daniel Zhang, who is resigning from the group’s executive positions to focus on the Alibaba Cloud Intelligence Group. Zhang’s role as Chairman of the Alibaba Board will be taken over by Joseph Tsai, one of the company’s directors.
