Manchester United has reported a 16 percent drop in retail, merchandising, apparel and product licensing revenues to £31.6 million (€43.3m-$49.5m) for the financial year ended June 30, including an 11 percent decline in the fourth quarter. ManU blamed the drops on reduced guaranteed revenues from Nike due to the team's absence from Uefa competitions in the past season. Meanwhile, ManU has filed a shelf registration with the U.S. Securities & Exchange Commission to sell 24 million shares priced at a maximum of $17.78 each to existing shareholders.
