Marker Völkl International has licensed out its Völkl ski and snowboard apparel line globally to a new company in Stuttgart, Völkl Performance Wear (VPW). It will be run by Robert Schlagenhauf, who has served for many years as division manager for apparel and accessories for the line. The same team in Germany will continue to design and develop the collection. VPW will set up its own sales structure for Central Europe but will continue to work together with the sales teams of Marker, Völkl and Dalbello. The licensing agreement could make it easier for Goldman Sachs to find a buyer of Völkl's core business.
