Nike Inc. has named Jason Mayden as Chief Design Officer for the Jordan brand. He returns to the brand where he started as the very first design intern 23 years ago.
Most recently, Mayden served as President of Fear of God Athletics from 2020 to late 2022. He previously spent nearly 14 years at Nike Inc. In his previous positions, from 2001 to 2014, he served as Senior Global Design Director of Jordan, Director of Innovation, Digital sport, and senior product Designer for Footwear, Brand, and Apparel Innovation. From 2016 to 2020, he served as founder and CEO of kid’s clothing and footwear brand Super Heroic.
Alongside his new role with Jordan, Mayden will continue to lead Trillicon Valley, the design house that he founded in 2017. He is also a visiting lecturer in product innovation at the University of Southern Carolina (USC) Jimmy Iovine and Andre Young Academy professional school.
