JV International Srl, an Italian manufacturer of engineered soles and worldwide licensee of Michelin Soles, has expanded to the USA to further expand its global presence. Founded in 2013, the Italian company has already been able to strengthen its presence on two important continents for the development of footwear: Europe and Asia. In Italy, the headquarters are located in Tavernerio (Como), and the sales department and research and development in Verona. In Asia are the two other companies of the group, JVI-Hong Kong in Hong Kong and JVI-China, based in Dongguan, China.

Now, JV International has announced the opening of JVI North America Corp., based in Delaware and headquartered in Vermont. The American company aims to strengthen and improve its position through a local technical sales presence. The goal is very specific: “We want to interpret the needs of the market and customers even better, more effectively and efficiently, in line with the Think Global - Act Local strategy,” the company said in a statement.

“America is proving to be an extremely receptive nation to our technologies, and many brands are choosing JVI to develop their soles,” commented Andrea de Pascale, International Sales & Marketing Director. “Opening an office in the Americas was a direct result of the increasing presence of American brands in our portfolio. […] Today, this geographical area plays an important role in our strategies and is constantly evolving.”

Leading JV North America will be Glen McKibben as VP-GM. He will oversee all of the Italian company’s overseas operations. A seasoned expert in the industry, McKibben has spent over twenty years working for international sports brands, including Airwalk, Salomon, Mavic, Eastern Mountain Sports, Manifattura Valcismon and others.
