Moncler finished the first quarter with revenues of €145.4 million, up by 16 percent in euros and by 19 percent in local currencies. With adjusted operating earnings representing 31 percent of sales before amortization (Ebitda) and 26.9 percent of sales before interest (Ebit), the Italian company's net income increased to €23.5 million from €16.4 million in the year-ago period, giving Moncler a net profit margin of 16.1 percent. Strong sales increases were recorded at wholesale and retail. The company had 140 stores at the end of the period, including the recent two openings in Moscow and Hong Kong.
