More sporting goods companies are partnering with Sympatex, the German provider of functional textiles. For winter 2011-12, Belowzero, Bench, Four Elements, Rusty and Sportalm will use Sympatex materials in their ski and snowboard collections. They showed off some of the new products at Ispo this month. Sympatex' name is also attached to the apparel, shoes and gloves named after Bombardier, the Canadian brand of snowmobiles, that will be coming out next winter. Sympatex, which touts itself as being ecologically friendly, is still on the look-out for more potential partners. Its other customers include Vaude, Maloja, Ziener, Billabong and Zimtstern.
