More than 500 people participated in the first Ispo Munich Night Run in the Olympic Park on the eve of the Ispo Munich trade show. The 10-kilometer trail run, which took them over the 552-meter-high Olympic Mountain, was won by a Polish orienteer, Krzysztof Wolowczyk. Rental shoes were offered by an official sponsor, Icebug. Klaus Dittrich, the very sporty 62-year-old chairman and chief executive of Messe München, who wore Nike shoes, slipped during the race and got a blue eye.
