The organizers of Move City Sport have announced a second edition of the event, which is set to take place on Oct. 23-24, 2024, in Bergamo, Italy. The announcement comes on the heels of the success of the inaugural show, which was held earlier this year, also in Bergamo, on Oct. 18-19.

Move City Sport is a multi-stakeholder event for industry operators as well as institutions, research bodies and other professionals who work to promote sport as a vehicle for well-being and personal development. The trade show and cultural event is promoted by Associazione Impianti Sportivi (AIS), and is organized by Promoberg – Fiera di Bergamo, Fierecom & Events, Paysage – Landscape for Community, and MG Global Services.

For the second edition of the show, the organizers plan to double the number of exhibitors and visitors. The event will feature the same exhibition thematic areas as the first edition, including: “Move City Sport Construction,” “Move School Sport,” “Move Green City Sport,” “Move City Sport Financing” and “Move City Sport Cultural Program.” The collaboration with the European Platform for Sport Innovation (EPSI), already in place for the first edition, will also continue in 2024 as part of the ongoing process of internationalization of the trade show. In the meantime, a Scientific Technical Committee will be set up in 2023 that will involve delegates from leading institutions as well as industry representatives from companies that were already involved in the first edition of the show. Additional initiatives are being arranged for 2023, the organizers said in a statement.
