Nautilus posted a net loss of $92,000 in the third quarter, compared with a loss of $4.3 million in the year-ago period. Excluding the losses related to its commercial fitness equipment operations, which it sold earlier this year, the U.S. company recovered with a profit of $281,000 versus a loss of $2.4 million, in spite of a 2.8 percent drop in revenues to $37.4 million. Direct sales of Nautilus' Bowflex TreadClimber continued to grow, but sales to retailers declined by 14.9 percent, due in part to a delay in the introduction of a new Olympic Gold product to the fourth quarter.
