Nautilus switched to a net profit of $1.4 million last year from a $22.8 million loss in 2010, in spite of ongoing cost pressures and onetime expenses to support the launch of new products in the fourth quarter. Discontinued operations contributed losses of $13.0 million in 2010 and $1.1 million in 2011. Total revenues increased by 7.1 percent to $180.4 million, with gains of 10.8 percent in direct-to-consumer sales and 1.2 percent in retail sales. For the fourth quarter, Nautilus has reported an 11.7 percent rise in revenues and a doubling of its net income to $3.2 million.
