New Balance has announced plans for a flagship store on London's Oxford Street, which should open around the middle of next year. The store on the ultra-busy shopping street is to cover 1,200 square meters. The displays will highlight the company's innovation as well as that it manufactures in England. New Balance described the opening as a major retail event and another milestone in its remarkable growth, supporting its ambition to become one of the top three global sporting brands. New Balance says its global sales have been growing at a compound annual growth rate of 15 percent for the last five years. It has about 100 stores around Europe, both own and franchised stores.
