Intersport Spain’s board of directors has a new chairman in Maite García Frutos, according to Diffusion Sport. García Frutos is chief executive of Tovarsport, an Intersport retailer in Murcia, and has had a seat on the board for the past 15 years.
Oriol Tomás Carulla is stepping down from the chairmanship after a three-year mandate to devote himself to expanding business interests. He is the chairman of Metropolis Inmobiliaria and a shareholder in Esports Quinze.
As we have reported, Ángel Solores replaced Xavier Alomar as chief executive of Intersport Spain on April 1.
