Under Armour (UA) has appointed Yassine Saidi as Chief Product Officer and Kara Trent, the current Managing Director for the company’s EMEA region, as President of the Americas.

With nearly two decades of industry experience, Saidi has previously held positions at both Adidas and Puma. According to UA, he brings “deep roots and accomplishments in shaping the sneaker market and developing authentic performance gear.” Saidi will spearhead the development of product strategies for apparel, footwear and accessories. Additionally, he will oversee the global product vision and strategy for UA.

Trent, who joined UA in 2015, has been at the helm of the company’s EMEA business since 2021. The company said Trent has fostered a “performance-based culture focused on accountability, consistency, and execution, contributing to consistent, double-digit revenue growth during her tenure.” Under her leadership, UA has seen a strengthened presence and growth in the region. Trent brings a wealth of experience within UA, having served in various roles, including in merchandising and planning. Before her time at UA, she worked with Puma and Reebok. She takes over the role previously held by David Baxter.

Saidi is set to commence his role on Jan. 29, while Trent will begin her position in February. Both executives will report directly to the company’s President and CEO, Stephanie Linnartz.

As part of its ongoing strategic initiatives, UA is currently seeking to strengthen its leadership team further and is searching for a new Chief Marketing Officer and SVP for Footwear. In the past year, UA made several other senior appointments, including Jim Dausch, Chief Customer Officer; Shawn Curran, Chief Supply Chain Officer; John Varvatos, Head of Design; and Amanda Miller, Chief Communications Officer.
