Jordan Brand has opened Jordan World of Flight Milan, an innovative retail destination to celebrate the legacy and future of basketball culture. World of Flight is “at the forefront of streetwear and basketball culture,” Nike explained in a statement. The first store of the kind has a surface of 363 square meters and is located at Via Torino 21, not far from the iconic Duomo di Milano (the city’s cathedral). The store opened on Dec. 16, in the presence of Jordan Brand president Craig Williams and Sandra Idehen, vice-president and general manager of Jordan Brand EMEA. The store sells Jordan Brand footwear and apparel for men, women and kids. The store design promotes the work of local artists and creators. Local artists created art and murals that tell the stories of local basketball courts and teams while also highlighting the Jordan folklore and connections to Milan and Italy.
