Golf, BMX and coastal rowing have been added to the schedule of Victoria 2026 and thus will be part of the Commonwealth Games for the first time in the event’s history. In addition, shooting and 3×3 basketball will make a comeback to the Games the same year. Wrestling, on the contrary, was dropped from the list of sports for Victoria.

The 2026 Commonwealth Games will feature 22 sports in total, including: aquatics (swimming, para swimming & diving); athletics & para athletics; badminton; 3x3 basketball, 3x3 wheelchair basketball; boxing; beach volleyball; coastal rowing; cricket T20 (women’s); cycling (BMX) cycling (mountain bike); cycling (road); cycling (track & para track); golf; gymnastics (artistic); hockey; lawn bowls & para lawn bowls; netball; rugby sevens; shooting & shooting para sport; squash; table tennis & para table tennis triathlon & para triathlon; weightlifting & para powerlifting.

The 2026 Commonwealth Games will be held in multiple cities in the Australian state of Victoria on March 17-29. The opening ceremony will take place at the Melbourne Cricket Ground.
