With the expansion of the management team, the very positive performance of the company from Füssen is set to continue. Thanks to the new structure, processes will be streamlined. The focus is on closer cooperation with suppliers and banks as well as the enhancement of the sales structure, IT and logistics. With Otto and Angele in the management team, Meier sees his company in an even more efficient position in the future: “With their many years of experience and expertise, both of them and their employees will lead us into a positive future.”

Otto has worked for the company since October 2004 as an authorized signatory and in various positions. Before joining the management team, he was Head of Purchasing and Logistics. In his new role, the focus is on the further development of all relevant topics in the areas of IT, purchasing, warehousing and logistics, as well as controlling.

Angele, who has been Head of Sales at Schanner since August 2015, has taken over the management of Sales and Marketing. Thanks to his many years of experience in the sporting goods industry in these areas, he has played a significant role in the positive development of the company in recent years. Angele will primarily be responsible for the further development of the sales structure and the Schanner brand portfolio. This is complemented by increasingly significant topics such as digitization and staff development.

Meier has been with the company since March 1995 and will remain Managing Director and sole shareholder. He had taken over Schanner Eishockeyartikel from Paul Schanner in 2010. In the future, he will be responsible for relationships with suppliers and banks. In addition, he will take care of the organizational development of the Füssen site. Despite the recently completed expansion of a warehouse and office space to over 5,000 sqm, further expansion is planned to optimally meet the requirements of the rapidly growing company.
