New Zealand's Ministry of Economic Development and the country's Customs Service have been given more power to investigate and prosecute parties involved in the manufacture, importation and sale of counterfeit products in New Zealand under new legislation passed by the local parliament. The Adidas Group recently scored a victory in a local court against Forrester Hilton, a company that had been regularly importing fake Adidas and Reebok basketball products from China for sale at his retail store.
