Nike and Barclays Premier League have reaffirmed their commitment to the Nike Academy, a training program for top-level football players, and it will now become a full-time operation. Young players who aren't with professional clubs receive world-class coaching and the opportunity to play top academic teams as well as reserve professional teams. Since the academy started in 2009, nine graduates have signed contracts with pro football teams.
