Nike and Head said they will stock with Maria Sharapova even though the blonde Russian tennis star has been suspended from competitions because of doping. Nike had initially backed out but then softened its stance. Meanwhile, Serena Williams, who has defeated Sharapova on the tennis court in recent years, finally overtook her rival as the world's best paid female athlete. Williams made $28.9 million last year in prize money and endorsements against $21.9 million for Sharapova.
