Nike has also been hit by a patent infringement suit filed in a federal U.S. court in Chicago by McDavid and Stirling Moulding of England. The case concerns Nike's use of a flexible material, whose patent is held by Stirling and licensed by McDavid, in foam-padded garments marketed by the Swoosh under the Deflex and Nike Pro Combat names.
